D. Langlois Meurinne

Damien Langlois-Meurinne is a Paris based designer and decorator. His career began at Christian Liagre’s office, after which he was hired at German fabric company Zimmer + Rhode before setting up his own firm in 2003. This firm, Agence D.L.M. has worked on a wide range of projects including: offices, showrooms and several high-end end residential commissions. In September 2005, he opened his own showroom in the Marais district of Paris where he exhibits his own line of furniture and lighting.

Langlois Meurinne considers the needs and desires of clients, not aiming to impose his style, but to adapt his work to a specific space. Quality is of the utmost importance to him; working with only the best French craftsmen to produce pieces that are strictly made to order. Preferring the use of noble materials such as linen, bronze, lacquer and solid fine woods he believes in creating objects that are also sculptural objects. The instrinsic aesthetic value is as important as the objects functionality. “A successful design”, he says, “is one that is endowed with a touch of poetry, freedom and fantasy.”
